The first streamed competitions for Nintendo Switch 2 exclusives

Drag X Drive and Mario Kart World are Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games that launched in the early months of Nintendo’s latest console. The two games recently held its first official tournaments during the Nintendo Live Tokyo 2025. 

Every participating game held its first competitive events during a Nintendo Live Tokyo, including Splatoon 3. The competitions for Drag X Drive, Mario Kart World, and Splatoon 3 were packed with various commentary during the first weekend of October 2025.

While most of the tournaments were streamed exclusively on the Nintendo of Japan channel, the Mario Kart World Invitational 2025 was streamed for Nintendo of America. It’s also possible to see the recap and overview of the competitions through Nintendo Today. The games will continue to develop through updates or even new spin-offs like Splatoon Raiders.
