Shrek’s sons will be played by Marcello Hernández and Skyler Gisondo in Shrek 5

Earlier this year, casting surrounding Shrek 5 surfaced, revealing much of the same cast, while also introducing Zendaya to the family as Shrek and Fiona’s teen daughter. Now, new casting news has surfaced revealing SNL and Superman alumni Marcello Hernández and Skyler Gisondo are taking the role of Fergus and Farkle, the orge’s two sons.

Variety reports Hernández and Gisondo’s involvement, but not much else is revealed, such as how vital the duo will be to the film. Considering it’s a somewhat fresh start for the orge fam, we expect this film will have each of the family members take part in whatever adventure they have to go on.

Shrek 5 has Conrad Vernon and Walt Dohrn directing, meanwhile Gina Shay and Brad Ableson co-direct.

Shrek 5 is poised to hit theaters June 30, 2027.
