We’re sure you know this by now, but Elden Ring’s one and only DLC is heading out here soon and we just need to make sure — are ya’ll ready? As a reminder, you can’t just jump into the DLC right of the bat, you do need to earn it.

Instead of following the new industry standard that gives players easier access to the DLC, Elden Ring developer FromSoftware is making sure it’s only those who want to play the game for hours on end who can actually access the DLC, which may seem unfair to some, but for those older gamers, they’ll know just how normal this actually is.

As it stands, a few weeks back, Bandai Namco warned players on social media their time to prep for the DLC launch is closing soon. Less than 40% of Steam players having beaten Mohg, the required boss to access the DLC.
