Award-winning soulslike, Another Crab’s Treasure, is adding new game modes, outfits, and more with its latest update in celebration of a year since the game’s release. Best of all, it’s free.
In a post on Steam, developer Aggro Crab shared that it will be adding a new game plus mode, which doesn’t just “lazily scale up enemy stats and call it a day” — new moves, items, and enemy encounter remixes are introduced. You can also further upgrade your fork and stowaway weight… speaking of, there’s also four stowaway slots. Of note, if you already beat the game, you’ll have to refight the final boss.
You can also refight any boss the Combat Memories feature, letting you get ready for a brand-new mode. Boss Rush Mode is also added to the game, allowing you duke it out with bosses in specially made themed fights. The team even added a brand-new boss that — without spoiling it — “totally deserves it,” according to the developer.
More costumes are also added into the game alongside a chill museum bestiary, so you can check out all the foes you’ve faced on your journey. Additionally, Aggro added a chapter select screen, which can be enabled in the settings menu.
The game is actually on sale right now until May 5, so now’s the perfect chance to jump in on the sea-bound action.
