Ubisoft might be working on an Assassin’s Creed Shadows co-op game mode currently codenamed LEAGUE unearthed following the game’s delay. The game’s delay, which earmarks a February 2025 release, shakes up the entire IP’s future games.
Insider Gaming reports of the mode, though notes this wasn’t the source of the delay and was in development prior to it getting that new release date. The details surrounding this co-op mode are pretty slim, but it’s suspected that players will control Naoe and Yasuke to fight enemies with the character’s respected skillset.
More multiplayer experiences is on the way, though, with Assassin’s Creed Invictus being a standout billed as a multiplayer experience. Meanwhile, the IP itself has quite a bit in the pipeline barring just Assassin’s Creed Shadows. It also has a Black Flag remake and Assassin’s Creed Hexe, which is going to be a more linear experience as well as darker than previous entries.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will release on February 14, 2025.
