Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is right around the corner as it releases on October 25. The first weekend Closed Beta has concluded. Fortunately, fans and newcomers can look forward to the Open Beta taking place this weekend, September 6-9. Unlike the first closed weekend, this Open Beta invites everyone on all platforms to join in on the fun.
Developers Treyarch announced new features and fixes that players can experience right away.
In our preview of the Closed Beta, Adrian voiced concerns about weapon balancing, audio issues, spawn points, and more, although he remains optimistic about the new Omnimovement feature and its promise for the franchise. Luckily, Treyarch is taking note of the community feedback and revealed the following features and fixes for the Open Beta:
• Level cap raised to 30
• Weapon balancing
• Spawn tuning
• Increased Weapon XP earn rate
• Audio improvements
• Bug fixes + more
The Open Beta also includes two new weapons, the Tanto SMG and the DM10 Marksman Rifle, alongside two new maps, Stakeout and Babylon for more 6v6 action. The tactically-oriented 2v2 Gunfight mode from previous entries will be returning to up the stakes by removing respawns and assigning pre-determined classes to players. New perks, loadouts, unlockables like weapon blueprints and skins, scorestreaks, and more will round up the Open Beta experience.
Treyarch is inviting everyone to take part in this Open Beta and see for themselves if the new iteration is ticking the boxes. We think this is a great opportunity for fans and newcomers alike to join in on the fun and experience Black Ops 6 before deciding on a purchase. The Beta is free, open, and time is the only investment required from you. We’ll see you on the server!
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 releases October 25 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. It will be available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on release day.
