It’s very common for studios to celebrate old IPs and give shout outs on the day they released all those years ago. That said, Capcom is picking the worst time to discuss Dino Crisis as it dominated the polls, making it the most wanted remake or sequel.
Yesterday, Capcom’s official account shared an anniversary post on social media celebrating the game’s 1999 release. Of course, this led to a plethora of people chanting for some sort of announcement for a remake or remaster or even an actual sequel.

It should come as no surprise that this is more about celebrating the release of a legacy IP rather than anything more, but that hasn’t stopped a bunch of people from calling for Capcom to reveal something related to Dino Crisis. Plenty of people are taking jabs at it, tapering expectations with more of an “I wish” approach to the anniversary celebration post.
This game and Turok are the best Dinosaur games. I wish Capcom would remake Dino Crisis.

Others seem to be a bit more annoyed that it hasn’t happened yet and sees this — jokingly, we’re sure — as Capcom playing with the emotions of the fans waiting in bated breath for some sort of announcement.

Realistically, Capcom has left Dino Crisis behind and we suspect that even with the poll results, it’s most likely just to going to ignore the pleas of the fans and turn its head to the more established, money-printing franchises.
