City management simulator Cities: Skylines 2 launched in October, and as the game has sold over a million copies, developer Colossal Order and publisher Paradox Interactive are “working hard” on improvements to stabilize performance and other quality-of-life features. The game was criticized for the performance and bug issues, it was so prevalent that the developer warned players of the potential performance woes before the game released.
In its latest financial report, Paradox went over how the game, in only a matter of the remaining months of 2023, sold over a million units. The video presentation also addressed the rocky launch, stating it was “upset that we didn’t meet player expectations on performance, platform releases, and functionalities at the start,” and that Colossal is working on improvements and is “fully committed” to bettering the game.
Alongside these improvements, Cities: Skylines 2 players can expect the Beach Properties Asset Pack DLC by the end of March. As it stands, the game is only available on PC until this spring when it launches on current-gen consoles.
