Players of Disney Speedstorm are unhappy as developer Gameloft has changed how players can purchase the Golden Pass, starting with Season 7. Previously, players could spend tokens on premium characters and tracks, making it viable to not spend any real money on it.
Naturally, as IGN reports, this reveal on its recent post led to players, many of which have spent the money to buy Founder’s Packs and been around since the beginning, feeling soured and feel the studio did “breach what they promised.”
One user is calling on Gameloft to refund the Founder’s Pack to those who purchased it under the assumption they could buy tracks with the wealth of coins provided with the premium version. The studio has yet to change any info on its website, with discussions on being able to buy the premium tracks and characters with the in-game currency.
Unfortunately, with the game’s free-to-play nature, we doubt that the French developer will cave, but here’s hoping the new free tracks will be just as good.
