New announcements confirmed for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Project

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth was recently announced for Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S, with a release date for June 3, 2026. It’s the second game within the Final Fantasy 7 Remake project that’s part of Square Enix’s multiplatform release strategy, which will provide bonus in-game items and an exclusive Magic: The Gathering card of Zack Fair.

Naoki Hamaguchi, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth director, is excited to bring the latest adventures of the Final Fantasy 7 remake project to more players on different gaming platforms. The momentum isn’t slowing down for the franchise as Hamaguchi hints at sharing more updates regarding the Final Fantasy 7 remake project this year, which may be the reveal of the third entry.
