New report suggests that Avowed has been delayed until 2025

Recent reports indicate that Obsidian’s highly anticipated RPG, Avowed, will be delayed until 2025.

According to the latest issue of Notepad by Tom Warren, Avowed was initially scheduled for a November release, as the game is nearly ready for launch. However, the release has been postponed to avoid overcrowding the Xbox platform’s priority releases.

This decision follows the announcement of the delay of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, another eagerly awaited title, now set to launch in November. Additionally, Microsoft will be releasing Flight Simulator 2024 in November, contributing to the packed schedule.

The report clarifies that Avowed’s delay is not due to development complications. Instead, the extra time will allow Obsidian to further polish the game, iron out any bugs, and ensure that Avowed reaches its full potential. According to the Reddit community, many players are disappointed by the potential delay but are hopeful for the end product.
