New trailer unveils the first 13 minutes of 007 First Light

IO Interactive unveiled a surprise new trailer of the first 13 minutes of 007 First Light. The Danish developer released this trailer to combat leaks since a few users got hold of the physical disc early before the game’s launch on May 27.

Don’t worry, we won’t get into spoilers. The beginning starts off with a bang and showcases some great looking visuals. 007 First Light introduces a younger version of Bond. It shows Bond before he’s earned his “00” status. For our coverage of what to expect from First Light, check out Brandon’s feature.

Patrick Gibson, the actor who portrays Bond, recently revealed his philosophy for playing 007 in an interview with the BBC. Gibson’s portrayal focuses on a more vulnerable and less experienced Bond:

“In the origins, there’s a wound there. When you feel like you have nothing to lose, and that’s met with a purpose, that’s a powerful weapon.”

Gibson is joined by long-time Bond composer David Arnold and artist Lana Del Rey, alongside a surprise appearance by Lenny Kravitz as a villain, to round-up the 007 team. Del Rey and Arnold joined forces to compose the original title song “First Light”:

We are excited to see how First Light will reinterpret 007 and we won’t have long to wait for that. 007 First Light launches May 27 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Nintendo Switch 2 version is currently targeting a Summer 2026 release date.
