One of the biggest updates for Insurgency: Sandstorm just launched and adds a bunch of content for free.

The new update, dubbed “Operation Resurgence,” brings to date one of the most requested features of the game, global crossplay. Along with crossplay, the new update delivers cosmetic sets, patches, weapons, and the return of Skirmish. A new trailer was released to celebrate the latest update.

Three new weapons have been added, one for each faction and one for everyone. The Security faction will get the tactical WCX. The Italian AR-7090 will be available for Insurgents. Both factions will also get access to the F2000 bullpup rifle.

Players may have also noticed that they now have new weapon skins and cosmetic gear sets. The update added the Pockets weapon skin set and Survivor gear set for Security, the National Pride weapon skin set, and the Revolt gear set for Insurgents.

Insurgency: Sandstorm and Operation Resurgence are available for PlayStation consoles, Xbox consoles, and PC via Steam, Microsoft Store, and Epic Games Store.
