Nintendo’s official response for its internal server breach claims

Crimson Collection is a criminal team of hackers who infamously breached Red Hat GitLab for sensitive information like API keys, network access details, customer information, and much more. It was claimed that the same group had targeted Nintendo of Japan, gaining access to data of games, developer info, and other sensitive data. Nintendo was forced to investigate the suspicious claims before making an official response.

Sankei Shimbun brought up the claims during an interview with Nintendo. The company currently proclaimed no personal data of customers or coworkers were affected.

“We have not confirmed any leak of personal information, and there has been no leak of development or business information”

Nintendo is keeping a closer eye on its internal servers, though there’s no evidence of breached sensitive data. The hackers’ statements appear to be false for now.
