Indie co-op horror experience, Phasmophobia, has bumped its price up a bit to account for the new wave of content. This comes after announcing the price increase earlier this year.
Developer Kinetic Games warned players a couple hours ahead of time on Twitter that price would jump from $13.99 to $19.99, noting that it’s a fair price considering how much content has been added. The game has been in the public eye since 2020 as an early access game that’s gained quite a following.
Some players are obviously not happy with the price hike. Some believe Kinetic’s not done enough to warrant the hike. It is supposed to be coming to consoles, but there’s still no word on exactly when, only that it’s gonna be later this year.
It is known that the console editions likely won’t include voice recognition, which for many, helped better immerse themselves in the experience. The dev promises a fix is being looked into, but regardless, it’s likely going to be something added later down the line, making consoles, which was already going to be priced at $19.99 lacking a key feature from its PC counterpart.
