Promenade debuts new trailer ahead of launch

Publisher Red Art Games showcases upcoming platformer Promenade in a new colorful trailer ahead of the title’s launch on February 23. Developed by independent French studio Holy Cap, Promenade will hop onto all main platforms, including PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. A demo is now available to play free of charge across all of these.

Promenade is a 2D adventure platformer set in a dreamlike and colorful world. Follow the story of Nemo and his little poulp (octopus) friend with many special abilities. Promenade is advertised as a platformer at the “crossroads of several genres,” including collect-a-thons, puzzle solving, and dungeon crawling.

It draws inspiration from classics such as Super Mario 64, Super Mario Odyssey, and Banjo-Kazooie as you search for cog fragments in order to progress the story and hop into different fantastical worlds. In this sense, Promenade is pushing the 2D platformer genre further by incorporating elements from classic 3D platformers and making them its own.

Smash Jump is excited about Promenade. Stay tuned for our upcoming (ahead of release) Switch review to see if it has us charmed!
