Resident Evil 9 “should be revealed pretty soon” and it releases next year

Capcom could be raring to reveal Resident Evil 9 here “pretty soon,” if a recent leak is to be believed. The next entry in the iconic franchise will supposedly launch next year.

Industry insider Dusk Golem alleges that the game, which has been in development for the past seven years, should have a release window of January. Previous accurate leaks from the insider includes early stuff about Resident Evil: Village, Alone in the Dark, and Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 Remake. In contrast, though, they’ve also had their fair share of fake rumors.

I have good news/rumors to deliver on Resident Evil 9. The possible delay I had heard murmurs about can be pushed aside. RE9 should be revealed pretty soon & release next year. If what I heard previously holds true, should be in January. It'll have had about 7 years in dev.

Whatever your thoughts are on Dusk Golem, we’re sure even those skeptical can hope that the series is returning after the success of the recent remakes and the release of Village.

As recent Resi content was revealed during State of Play events, people are clinging onto hope that whenever the next PlayStation event is will show off this next entry. If Resident Evil 9 does get revealed, this would be yet another AAA game to look forward to in the future, alongside the likes of Death Stranding 2, GTA 6, and Ghost of Tsushima 2.
