Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is returning to select players with its second closed beta. The latest version won’t just include new fighters and stages, but also new improvements for player convenience.
One of the newest features is Quick Tag, which makes character switching much smoother, like in Dragon Ball FighterZ. It’s even possible to implement the new mechanic to a button in the control scheme rather than a quick input.
Another huge change is the improved Link Attack system, which opens new combo routes. It gives players more manual control during auto combos, raising combo variety for less monotonous interactions. It also gives players more freedom to create pressure or mix-ups during battles.
The most significant change is matchmaking via skill level with the Quick Entry. It’s now possible to search for other opponents of similar skill level in the online lobby with a button for faster, fair matches. It is still possible for anyone to battle in open matches for a variety of skill levels.
The second closed beta will run consistently without play sessions between December 5-7, 2025. The first 48 hours of the beta test will allow players to fight competitors online and CPUs offline, though the remaining 24 hours are limited to online lobbies, locking offline CPU battles.
