Konami has revealed additional classic Yu-Gi-Oh! games being added to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection as well as the included promo card for use in the trading card game.Â
Revealed during the 2024 World Championship livestream and later posted on social media, Konami revealed that Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters (1998, Game Boy), Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters II: Dark Duel Stories (1999, Game Boy Color), and Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories (2000 JP, 2002 US, 2003 EU, Game Boy Color) will be joining Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelists (2000, Game Boy Color), Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2 (2001, Game Boy Advance) as a part of the classic remaster collection. Many of the titles announced for the collection never saw a release outside of Japan, marking the first time players will be able to experience these classic games localized outside Japan.
Additionally, as is tradition with classic Yu-Gi-Oh! video game releases, the collection will come with collectable and playable promotional cards. In this case, each copy of Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection will include one of two variations of the iconic Harpie’s Feather Duster spell card. This card will come in the new quarter century secret rare foiling and has a chance to have either the original artwork or the new style artwork.
The announcement also hinted at even more games being added to the collection in the future. Thus far, five games have been announced, all of which were handheld titles.Â
Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection does not yet have a release date but is planned to be released on Nintendo Switch.
