YouTube indie animated series, Helluva Boss, is coming to Prime Video. Yes, it will still release on YouTube for free, though.
Revealed on Twitter, the Hazbin Hotel account shared a video featuring main character Charlie Morningstar getting interrupted by Helluva Boss mainstay, Blitzo (the O is silent), and his typical crass attitude. The video shared that the series is not only getting new seasons backed by Amazon, but creative control remains within creator Vivienne Madrano’s hands.
Also, for those worried, while the series is heading to Prime Video first, it will end up on YouTube, though, it’s hard to make out whether or not each episode will release to YouTube about a month after Prime Video’s airing or if it’s after the season concludes. It’s also hard to tell if the Spindlehorse team will continue being episodic or if it will drop a batch of episodes at a time.
In some good news, for people who love both, it’s also confirmed the two series will collide with episodes that will feature a mixed cast. We don’t know much outside of one episode that will feature Angel Dust at this time.
It’s not clear when we can expect Helluva Boss to properly arrive on Prime Video, but with the announcement and introduction into the service, it’s bound to draw tons more attention.
