After only a year, Smash Jump has achieved fantastic things, from getting standout game codes to achieving a strong team. Now, it’s time for us to be transparent as we transition from independent media to corporate shills that will bend to the will of publishers that don’t like being criticized.
CNET has acquired Smash Jump. CNET has been a massive part of the industry since its founding in 1992 before being acquired in 2008 by CBS Interactive.
With the purchase of Smash Jump, we retain total control over our editorial except when a publisher is “big mad” about a review score and will promptly fire said reviewer for telling the truth.
Thank you CNET for the purchase. And happy April 1.
