MultiVersus introduces Jason Voorhees and Agent Smith

Two new characters are heading their way into MultiVersus, those being Friday the 13th’s Jason Voorhees and The Matrix’s Agent Smith. The game is relaunching after a beta period and going dark for a while before breaking that silence.

The free-to-play Smash Bros.-like fighter is relaunching on May 28 complete with new characters and — hopefully — more content as a whole. A new trailer dropped showcasing two new characters heading our way. While Voorhees will make it into the initial batch of characters alongside The Joker, which sees the reprisal of the great Mark Hamill, Agent Smith will appear in a later Season of the game.

Developed by Player First Games, it mashes together a ton of Warner Bros. IPs like Scooby Doo, Tom and Jerry, Steven Universe, Adventure Time, Rick & Morty, DC, and more. Its beta launch proved to be rather mixed, it was liked while players played it, but it quickly fell off. Hopefully, Player First has a plan to hold attention with its full release next week.
