Journey to the Alvarez Empire in Fairy Tail 2

Fairy Tail fans have a lot to be excited about after today’s announcement at Nintendo Direct: a sequel to the Fairy Tail role-playing game is coming later this year. The game, titled Fairy Tail 2, promises to bring more magic and adventure to the series’ devoted followers.

Although the announcement was made at Nintendo’s June Direct, Fairy Tail 2 will be released on multiple platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC via Steam, and, of course, Nintendo Switch. This installment will adapt the Alvarez Arc, where series protagonist Natsu Dragneel faces off against Zeref, the emperor of the Spriggan.

In addition to the main story, Fairy Tail 2 will feature unique “character stories” that allow players to delve deeper into the backgrounds and personal journeys of their favorite characters. This added layer of storytelling is sure to enhance the overall gaming experience.

Perhaps most exciting for fans is the inclusion of a new, original story. This narrative will offer fresh content that takes place after the culmination of the original series, likely before the events of the 100-Year Quest. This new chapter will provide players with a unique opportunity to explore the Fairy Tail universe further.

Like its predecessor, Fairy Tail 2 will feature only a Japanese dub. However, the game will include text options in both English and French, ensuring accessibility for a broader audience.
