Beware, scalpers are trying to sell you Concord

Despite the imminent shutter of PlayStation’s failed hero shooter, Concord, scalpers are taking the opportunity to upsell physical copies. Copies are selling for over $100, at least some of them are honest.

IGN reports of these scalpers, though, notes some are actually selling copies for the game’s retail $39.99 price tag. Some are fudging the game’s numbers a bit, as well, calling it “highly sought after,” despite its low player count and the allegedly estimated 25,000 copies sold.

By all metrics, Concord failed to break PlayStation into the hero shooter live service market and anyone who played it will probably tell you the same thing — it’s not bad… but it’s also not good enough to warrant charging money for.

At least Smash Jump’s Robert Andalon enjoyed his time with the game, praising its strong foundation and addictive gameplay loop. Really, his only gripe during his preview was the uphill battle it would face on-launch, which would prove to be a real struggle for Firewalk. Here’s hoping whatever the studio works on next is received better.
