GTA Trilogy shuffles its way to Netflix next week

As if it weren’t weird enough that we’re only days away from Rockstar Games dropping the trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, we now have Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — Definitive Edition driving its way to Netflix next week. The much-maligned repackaging of the classic trio didn’t go over well at launch, but has since been patched to be more palatable.

IGN reports that Netflix is bringing these three classics as part of its ongoing efforts to break into the gaming market, but as of right now has stuck with keeping things centered around the mobile market. Considering the trilogy was based on the mobile versions of the games, so it’s still not too far off, but at least this means more people can go on a joyride across the fictional cities found within.

These games inclusions will boost Netflix’s gaming library to a respectable — for the time it’s been working on breaking into the gaming market — 80 games. Basically, with your Netflix subscription, you can get a whole host of timewaster games and some notable ones mixed in.
