A Tale of Paper physical edition releasing “very soon”

SelectaPlay has announced that A Tale of Paper, an emotional puzzle-platformer featuring a playable piece of shapeshifting paper, is receiving a physical release “very soon.” There is no concrete launch date just yet.

In a recent press release, it was revealed that early 2024 will see this heartfelt textless narrative get a physical PS5 version. The concept is fairly simple — you play as Line, a piece of paper that can use origami to solve puzzles, and your main goal is to reach the end and achieve the dreams of your creator. The game itself lacks text but lets its atmosphere and gameplay do all the talking.

Overall, this title was initially released last year to a very positive reception. It just makes sense to release A Tale of Paper physically through a third-party like SelectaPlay. Meanwhile, it’s also raring to release a physical edition of the 80s-inspired Narita Boy, slated for a similar “early 2024” release.
