Nintendo has “got something up their sleeves” for Switch 2

Nintendo finally revealed the Nintendo Switch 2, with a Direct scheduled for April 2, and it seems like it’s got something to entice people to make the leap.

Speaking to GamesRadar, 32-year vet Takaya Imamura, who has retired from Nintendo, notes that the original Switch had a “really long lifespan” and it’ll be difficult to sway people to take the leap to the next generation.

“The Switch has had a really long lifespan, and it sold really well, which must mean that this is something that is a global success. It’s got supporters all around the world, and I was thinking it would be difficult to really change that. But having said that, I think they’ve still got something up their sleeves.”

Frankly, he’s right, while leaks have established the barebones of the Switch 2, and some of its capabilities, we’re sure Nintendo’s still got some unique stuff buried below where not even leakers can find it.

April 2 will be a massive day for Nintendo fans, that’s all we can really say.
