Netflix is removing Black Mirror: Bandersnatch this month

In a continued effort to rid the streamer of interactive films, Netflix has put in motion Black Mirror: Bandersnatch getting removed from the service later this month alongside Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend.

The removal marks a complete end to the interactive specials, which were already almost all out the door late last year. This comes as the TV app sees an overhaul with playable games using smartphones as controllers.

This decision is kind of funny as Black Mirror: Bandersnatch was a massive success at the time, even leading to promises to double down on interactive programs. Of course, that was 2019 and we’re now in 2025 where it seems Netflix is convinced entering the gaming scene is the best way to ensure success, even as it fails to keep the lights on at its very own AAA game dev studio.

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend are available until they’re pulled on May 12.
