Mike Judge and Greg Daniels’ King of the Hill revival finally has a date plastered alongside the faces of its leading characters; Hank, Peggy, and Bobby, who was previously teased late last year.
The new trailer and blurb shares what’s happened since we last saw the Hills, with Hank moving to Saudi Arabia to earn their “retirement nest egg” while Bobby establishes himself as a chef in Dallas alongside Connie, Joseph, and Chane. At some point, they return to Arlane so they can reconnect with old friends.
“After years working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to earn their retirement nest egg, Hank and Peggy Hill return to a changed Arlen, Texas to reconnect with old friends Dale, Boomhauer and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby is living his dream as a chef in Dallas and enjoying his 20s with his former classmates Connie, Joseph and Chane.”
In their absence, it appears Dale Gribble, who will be voiced by someone else following the passing of Johnny Hardwick , though a handful of episodes were recorded with Hardwick prior to his passing in 2023. Beyond him, though, much of the original cast returns.
King of the Hill’s reboot airs on Hulu on August 4.
