Techland has reportedly canceled two upcoming games, though, it isn’t clear what these games were. The studio reported a 130 million Polish zลoty (in USD that’s about $37.3 million) loss.
Polish outlet Puls Biznesu (via VGC), reports that due to the losses, Techland has canceled two games. While it’s unclear what these games are, speculation is that it’s the open world fantasy action RPG that was announced back in 2022. Meanwhile, its Dying Light franchise was also supposedly set to get “multiple” projects, so perhaps one of them is that second game.
To be frank, it feels like Techland’s really riding on Dying Light: The Beast, which heads out the door this summer. The Beast was initially a story expansion DLC for Dying Light 2, but its scope grew to the point the team decided to spin it off into its own game.
