Developer Galla Games isn’t opposed to making a sequel to its debut award-winning indie game, Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo. Right now, though, it’s just focused on getting the planned DLC out the door before the end of the year.
Speaking with Smash Jump, Paulo and Pavel Lara discusses the future of the IP, more specifically that Galla “would love to do a sequel” and return to Limbo. Moreover, it’s a situation where it would like to do it sooner rather than later, so it very well may be the studio’s next game after wrapping up Kulebra’s DLC, but that would depend.
“Right out of the gate, we would love to do a sequel. We would love to revisit the world of Limbo. As for if it would be our next project, that would depend. […] But it is definitely something we would love to tackle sooner rather than later.”
In our Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo review, we said: “Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo is an extremely unique game that has an interesting premise, memorable characters, and a wonderfully expressive art style. While the game might be a little more linear in nature, the story and the characters found throughout Limbo really helps this game stand out amidst a sea of up and coming indie titles.”
