James Pond creator Chris Sorrell isn’t happy with the studio’s use of AI to promote not just its next James Pond game, James Pond and the Rogue AI, but all its games.
In an interview with Time Extension, Sorrell mentions that he hates “almost everything they do with a passion.” This is even so bad that he’s distanced himself from the Pond IP altogether thanks to the way rights holder Gameware Europe is treating it to the point of not accepting interviews centered around James Pond.
As you may imagine, he also regrets ever being involved with the company during its Kickstarter attempt before canceling it due to not reaching funding, calling it a “bottom-feeding enterprise.”
