Nintendo offers discounted exclusives with new Switch 2 bundle

Nintendo has recently announced new price hikes for the Nintendo Switch 2. While the new prices are hitting Japan early in May 2026, areas outside of Japan will face the new, increased prices later in 2026. Until then, the company is opening a new Nintendo Switch 2 bundle for a limited time.

Nintendo is selling its latest hardware with the new Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle in early June 2026. It will include the Nintendo Switch 2 console and a download code to select one of three eligible games: Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Pokémon Pokopia. It will be available through eligible retailers at the current price of $499.99, letting anyone purchase the discounted console and game at the same upcoming price later in September 2026.

This new deal follows Nintendo’s current direction for its latest console. During the Q&A with investors, Shuntaro Furukawa, Nintendo President and Representative Director, described the company’s plans to grow its fanbase by offering entertaining games with fun outweighing its value. Nintendo will cooperate with other partnering companies to deliver new experiences and franchises on the Nintendo Switch 2, growing its libraries with various new genres. The Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle is a good example of offering three staple games that provide different experiences, though it will only be available for a limited time.

“The most important thing in our dedicated video game platform business is to offer engaging fun that is worth more than the price. Going forward, Nintendo and other software publishers plan to release a variety of titles, and we aim to expand the installed base by conveying that these titles offer new experiences unique to Nintendo Switch 2.”
