Nintendo makes mobile photos come to life with the new Pictonico

Nintendo recently announced Pictonico, a new mobile game that transforms photos into wacky mini-games. Anyone can become part of the video game with any photo from an iOS or Android device.

The trailer showcases its minigames that function very similarly to WarioWare, having both simple controls and fast-paced action. They’re available for offline play as separate standard stages or through timed challenges in Score Attack, recording the best in-game score.

The game is currently available for pre-registration before its official launch on May 28, 2026. A few select games will be available to play for free at launch, though playing every minigame requires a premium price.

Nintendo will reveal more about its new mobile game closer to its release date.
