New price increase for PlayStation Plus service

The current market has been worsening for multiple companies in the industry, including PlayStation. In response, PlayStation has once again updated its pricing for the PlayStation Plus service, enforcing higher value in specific regions.

The new prices for the PlayStation Plus service are tailored for new customers rather than the general PlayStation user base. Any existing PlayStation Plus customer will keep the previous price as long as the user’s current subscription doesn’t cancel or change between subscription tiers.

PlayStation is also shifting its business model in a new direction for its exclusive games, according to Bloomberg. During a staff meeting, PlayStation plans to release its massive single-player titles, like Saros and Ghost of Yotei, exclusively on PlayStation 5, with no additional PC releases, while its multiplayer games, like Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls and Marathon, will lean toward multiplatform releases to reach a broader audience.
