PlayStation State of Play returns June 2nd

PlayStation have confirmed via PS Blog that the next State of Play will livestream June 2nd on YouTube and Twitch. The bumper showcase will kick off with a “closer look” at Insomniac Games’ Wolverine and feature more than one hour of “updates, announcements, and gameplay reveals” from studios around the world.

The next State of Play comes amidst a tough period for Sony: high-profile live-service failures in Marathon and Concord, numerous studio closures at Bluepoint Games and London Studio, and price rises for console hardware; the rumoured God of War spin-off starring Faye may very well debut alongside other surprises as PlayStation seeks to rehabilitate its image in the coming months. It’s also possible we will see more from Naughty Dog’s Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, Kena: Scars of Kosmora, Phantom Blade Zero, Control: Resonant, and the ever-elusive Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra.

PlayStation State of Play will livestream on June 2nd at 2pm PT/5pm ET/11pm CEST/June 3rd 6am JST.
