Crimson Desert reaches over 6 million players worldwide

Crimson Desert has been showing some strong legs in the current market under Pearl Abyss’ support. This new IP’s successful pace has already broken through over 6 million copies sold globally.

Circana recently updated its tracking method to update game sales for both physical and digital formats. This new recording strategy has caught Crimson Desert selling enough to become the second best-selling game of 2026 in the United States, just under Resident Evil Requiem.

This new open-world IP still has a lot to offer in its world of Pywel as the developers continue bringing new fixes and content, such as the new challenges for pet registration in patch 1.11.0. Pearl Abyss plans to deliver more content for its game in the near future, including its anticipated DLC.
