Once Human is headed to PS5, Xbox Series X|S in August

Starry Studio’s open world multiplayer survival game, Once Human, is breaking the PC chains and heading to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in August. Full cross-play and cross-progression will be added, as well.

In case you’ve missed the hype, Once Human is the brainchild of NetEase Games subsidiary Starry Studio that blends survival, crafting, and looter shooter mechanics packaged into one post-apocalyptic package. This release coincides with first-person arriving as an option in-game.

The console version will offer Quality and Performance modes. With Quality Mode, you’ll get 4K 60 FPS while its Performance Mode counterpart sacrifices resolution for smooth 120 FPS.

Once Human is, and will continue to be, free to play, but for those who want more out of the experience on the on-set, you can opt to pre-order it to nab a gift package for $9.99 — Starter Pack — or $14.99 — Radiance Pack.

Once Human’s console launch is set for August 25, 2026.
