Granblue Fantasy: Relink sells more than 1 million copies

Developer Cygames is reveling in the success of its Action RPG hit Granblue Fantasy: Relink.

Cygames announced today, which you can find on social media, that Relink surpassed 1 million copies sold worldwide on all launch platforms. This was accomplished in just 11 days since Relink’s February 1 launch. The sales data includes all digital and physical copies. Cygames left us with this celebratory poster.

The success of Granblue Fantasy: Relink is especially impressive, given its release among heavy-hitting titles such as Persona 3 Reload and Suicide Squad. However, Cygames proved that quality does indeed sell itself. Relink has garnered critical acclaim from the major publications. In our review, we said Relink was “one of the best games of early 2024” and a “superb achievement for the series and action JRPG genre.”

This acclaim has been reflected in the number of players picking Relink up. Smash Jump revealed that Relink’s Steam peak player count was 114,054, ranking it just below the current #1 holder โ€” Monster Hunter: World โ€” in the action RPG category. Cygames already announced new quests, new playable characters, and other surprises featured in planned future updates starting in March.

The future looks bright for the Granblue Fantasy series as it celebrates its 10 year anniversary since the original mobile game launched. Smash Jump looks forward to more Granblue Fantasy and is excited for what this series has in store for us.

More Smash Jump: Brandon is impressed in his preview of the upcoming Pacific Drive, Assassinโ€™s Creed Codename Red gets a release date, and Luke ranks the best Souls-like titles by FromSoftware.
