Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase February 2026 Announcements

After a slow start to the year, Nintendo has come out swinging with some exciting news with the Partner Showcase focused on third-party publishers and developers with upcoming releases.

Orbitals gets a release window

The retro anime inspired Orbitals from Developer Shapefarm has narrowed down its release window. Previously being marked for release in 2026, it has now been marked for release in Summer 2026. It still isn’t a definitive date, but it’s nice to know it isn’t too far away.

Paranormasight: The Mermaid’s Curse Coming Thrillingly Soon

Almost three years since the release of the firs Paranormasight game, The Mermaid’s Curse gets set for a February 19 release date. The mystery/investigation game will be releasing for the Switch, with no Switch 2 version.

Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters announced for 2026 release

The arcade-soccer game from Bandai Namco is getting another release for the Switch. Those looking for a new way to enjoy soccer-style gameplay can find over the top action in Captain Tsubasa 2. For now, 2026 is the only window for release, with no Switch 2 version.

Tokyo Scramble — New Monster Survival Game Announced for Release Shortly

A new monster/dinosaur survival game is coming to Switch 2 and Switch within a week of announcement. Creatures called Zino will need to be avoided and subdued for survival. The game also features an uncommon multiplayer gameplay style where up to four players can control different elements of the gameplay from the camera, to movement, to actions. Tokyo Scramble will be available February 11th.

Valheim is Graphically Simple and Abundant in Mechanics

A Norse themed survival crafting game with many terrifying enemies and deep gameplay systems: Valheim looks loaded with fun. 10-player multiplayer servers, combat systems, and deep crafting and construction systems, are likely to make for a good time. It will release for Switch 2 and Switch sometime in 2026.

Hollow Knight Gets a Switch 2 Edition Right Now

Hollow Knight on Switch 2 will come with “enhanced visuals and improved frame rates”. The game can be purchased by Switch 2 owners, but those who already own Hollow Knight for the Switch can get the upgrade pack for free and upgrade their game immediately. Team Cherry is trying to have the best 365 days for a game studio in history.

eFootball Kick-Off! Releases This Summer

“Reborn from Pro Evolution Soccer” as they put it, eFootball brings Soccer simulation to the Switch 2. Featuring online matches, legendary players, and realistic simulation gameplay, eFootball looks to be the Switch 2 and Switch’s staple sports game when it releases this Summer.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is a Mouthful with a Release Date

Square Enix’s new HD-2D action-RPG is stylized and flashy. Most games of the HD-2D style are JRPGs, so seeing real time action is an exciting change. It is the first we’ve heard of the game in a while, so it’s good to know the release date isn’t far off. It will release June 18th of this year.

Super Bomberman Collection Brings 3 New Games to North America and Europe

The new collection of Bomberman 1 and 2, and Super Bomberman 1-5 will be the first time Super Bomberman 3-5 are being release in North America and Europe. Mother 3 fans are fuming. Boss-rush and multiplayer modes will also be available. The digital version releases the day of announcement, while a physical version will release August 2026.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Finally Fantarrives on Switch 2

Fans of Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy 7 in particular have waited long enough. Well, almost long enough. On June 3, 2026, the second entry in the Remake trilogy will finally be available on Switch 2.

Pragmata is One of the Biggest Releases of the Year, and It’ll Be on Switch 2

After a positive reception to the demo in late 2025, Pragmata has become a high-profile release for Capcom this Spring. The robot slaying, real time hacking, third-person shooter will be available on Switch 2 on release day: April 24, 2026.

Turok : Origins is the First Mainline Turok Game in 18 Years

The world’s favorite dinosaur (and alien?) shooter game is back in Fall of 2026. Featuring abilities, First-Person and Third-Person perspectives, and multiplayer action, the series has done a lot of evolving since the last release.

Kyoto Xanadu Meshes Metroidvania with Action-RPG

The anime styled action game from Nihon Falcom will blend multiple genres for their flashy game. Side scrolling, 3D action, RPG systems, and social systems were all present in the trailer. It will arrive in Summer of 2026.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger Comes to Switch 2 and Switch

The newest Digimon game will have its Switch 2 and Switch Physical and Digital releases on July 10, 2026. It will feature a Quality Mode and Performance Mode that will run at 4K/30FPS (1080p handheld) and 1080p/60FPS respectively. Digimon is likely to recapture a large chunk of the fanbase with this release.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok Brings the Action

The action-packed and visually appealing new Granblue Fantasy title is one of the best looking anime-style games in the showcase, and on the Switch consoles. With a release date of July 9, it could be a contender for the Switch game of the Summer, at least as far as currently announced titles go.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Separates the Monsters from the Monsters

The new creature taming/training game is coming surprisingly soon with a release date of March 13, 2026. Monster Hunter: Wilds has had a tumultuous first year with the community divided on its view of the game. Hopefully this more contained Monster Hunter Stories game can give a bit of satisfaction to at least some of the fans not thrilled with the latest mainline title. There is also a demo out at the time of announcement.

Arcade Archives 2: Rave Racer and Console Archives Announced

Rave Racer will be re-released under the Arcade Archives banner, and a new Console Archives set of games was announced that will include re-releases of Doraemon, Sonic Wings Special, Cool Boarders, and Ninja Gaiden 2: The Dark Souls of Chaos.

Resident Evil Requiem Recaps Capcom’s Special Feature

Resident Evil Requiem’s Nintendo spotlight was noticeably lacking in the violence department. Every shot and slash was purposefully missed or cut short for this presentation. That doesn’t change the level of excitement for anybody though that Resident Evil Requiem will be on Switch 2 on release day: February 27, 2026. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil Village Gold Editions will also release the same day. There will also be a Switch 2 Pro Controller with Resident Evil Requiem art releasing that day. The Amiibos of Grace and Leon will release Summer of 2026.

Bethesda Brings Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered to the Switch 2

Tom Howard closed out the Direct for Nintendo on behalf of Bethesda by announcing that some of their most renowned games, especially within recent years, will be on Switch 2 within the year. Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition released for Switch 2 on February 24, 2026. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle arrives on May 12, 2026. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered are assumed to be the last release, announced only for the year of 2026.
