007 First Light rescheduled its release for Nintendo Switch 2

IO Interactive was previously preparing 007 First Light for a major launch across major gaming platforms this year on May 27, though it’s facing another delay. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will launch later in summer 2026, while other platforms will currently follow the original schedule. At the moment, it’s still available for pre-order as a physical release between Standard and Specialist Editions; both of which will provide the deluxe edition benefits for free before its launch date.

007 First Light remains available to pre-order physically for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, including its limited stock Collector’s and Legacy Editions. Any digital pre-orders for the Standard edition will earn 24-hour early access to the full game before its official launch.

PlayStation users can also enjoy the action-packed espionage narrative with the 007 First Light limited edition PlayStation 5 DualSense wireless controller. Rasmus Poulsen, Franchise Art Director on 007 First Light, views it as part of the celebration for the famous spy jumping back into the gaming realm after such a hiatus. The controller holds a golden color scheme with 007 mentioned on the touch pad, establishing respect for the return of James Bond. Its availability is different between regions, depending on access to the direct PlayStation store. Anyone can pre-order the special controller on April 17, 2026, at 10 am EST, which has limited stock globally.

“With this 007 First Light controller, we saw an opportunity to welcome James Bond back to gaming after more than 13 years in a way that felt instantly iconic. The golden finish pays tribute to the elegance, legacy, and timeless style of the franchise, while the barrel-inspired detailing reflects the themes of the game and how it feels to play it, as well as being a nod to one of pop culture’s most recognizable visual signatures. Every element of the DualSense design was crafted as a celebration of Bond’s return, blending legacy and modernity to create a controller that feels unmistakably 007 from the moment you see it”
