Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been delayed… again

Think back to mid-2024, you probably remember Assassin’s Creed Shadows getting delayed into February, well… it’s now a March 2025 game. This would be its second delay, and we aren’t totally convinced it will be its last.

Ubisoft announced the news on the official Assassin’s Creed Twitter, citing feedback as a driving factor to the game’s delay.

Now, this delay on its own is pretty damning, but coupled with Ubisoft’s current situations — shuttering XDefiant, lackluster sales of Star Wars Outlaws, largely abandoning its own launcher and returning to Steam, and other bad press — it just makes things even worse.

For all involved, we hope that this extra time will actually be used wisely and that the game will actually release before it gets delayed for a third time.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows releases on March 20, 2025.
