Bloober Team CEO hints the new Project M designed for classic horror fans

The Bloober Team has dedicated strong support for the first year of Nintendo Switch 2 with games like Cronos: The New Dawn and Layers of Fear: The Final Masterpiece Edition. The studio is already managing several projects in its current schedule, including one game targeting the Nintendo platform.

Piotr Babieno, CEO of Bloober Team, provided more hints about Project M during the Nintendo Insider interview. While he couldn’t reveal the game, he did mention it would satisfy fans of Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Limbo, and Eternal Darkness. The CEO also views the upcoming project releasing solely on the Nintendo platform, implying the use of exclusive Nintendo Switch 2 hardware, like motion controls and mouse controls for better immersion.

“What I can say is this: fans of Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Limbo, and Eternal Darkness will immediately feel at home. That said, Project M introduces a bold twist—one that no horror game has ever explored before. This is a vision that could only exist on Nintendo hardware.”

The developers are continuing to provide more horror experiences for the gaming market, especially on the Nintendo platform. While the CEO admits the team can’t follow every demand, like The Medium on Nintendo Switch, the opportunity could change based on the performance of their previous releases.
