The Bloober Team is a significant contributor to the thrilling horror gaming market with games like Layers of Fear, The Medium, Silent Hill 2, and the latest Cronos: The New Dawn. The studio continues to invest more into suspenseful gaming projects for its future schedule, especially for Nintendo platforms.
Piotr Babieno, CEO of Bloober Team, was welcomed in The Game Businessโ interview to explain the team’s future steps and approach for Nintendo. He responded with praise for the Nintendo GameCube, introducing the most inspirational horror games before confirming the team’s strong support for Nintendo platforms, especially Nintendo Switch 2.
“I’m trying to make my personal dreams come true; I am a huge Nintendo fan. I grew up with Nintendo consoles. The most important horrors, like Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil 4โฆ were available on Nintendo GameCube. It was a gold time for Nintendo fans. In some ways, we would like to be the one to open a new chapter for Nintendo right now.”
The Bloober Team Investor Relations has revealed the work-in-progress games for the partnership of Bloober Team and Broken Mirror Games: Project F and Project M. They are estimated to globally premiere within 2026, though Project M is currently set as an exclusive release for Nintendo Switch consoles.
The studiosโ roadmap also confirms two official titles coming soon: I Hate This Place and Layers of Fear: The Final Masterpiece Edition. I Hate This Place will launch on January 26, 2026, not just for Nintendo Switch, but also PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Layers of Fear: The Final Masterpiece Edition is another Nintendo exclusive that’s currently targeting Nintendo Switch 2 as a digital release in 2025, expanding the series for the latest Nintendo console.
