CD Projekt Red continues support for The Witcher 3 with a new expansion

The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt was one of the most successful projects for CD Projekt Red, reaching over 60 million copies across multiple gaming platforms. As a surprise for its growth, the developer has announced its third expansion: Songs of the Past.

The upcoming Witcher 3 DLC will bring Geralt of Rivia back for another new adventure. CD Projekt Red is creating the new expansion with the cooperation of Fool’s Theory, the developer of The Thaumaturge and Seven: The Days Long Gone.

It’s currently scheduled to launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2027. Fans will learn more about the upcoming expansion during another related announcement in late 2026.
