Fans are no doubt excited for the next entry of The Witcher franchise, The Witcher 4, but sadly, we’ll really have some time to wait. CD Projekt Red co-CEO Michaล Nowakowski truly solidified the game, which has been billed as larger than Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3, isn’t gonna be out until 2027.
A recent conference following its Q3 earnings results had Nowakoswski not just reaffirm the game is in full-scale production, but that it won’t comment on the game’s release. On that note, though, he did confirm the game is definitely not releasing in 2026. At least we know the game is in development and from the sound of it at a pace the developer expected.
โAs we have already stated,ย The Witcher 4ย is in the full-scale production phase. Weโre not disclosing any details regarding the target release date, so thereโs not a point in time I could refer to when answering such a question.
The only thing weโre commenting on is that weโre not launching in 2026, and weโre also not typically getting into any specifics regarding technical or design matters. Thereโs nothing out of the ordinary, Iโd say, in that area happening withย The Witcher 4ย โ itโs just full-scale production proceeding at its pace, as per our internal plans. I think thatโs as much as we can say.โ
