Dave The Diver takes on the depths of Dredge

Dave The Diver, the Mintrocket-developed pleasing pixel art diving and restaurant sim is releasing a new DLC that takes our heroine deep in the depths of Black Salt Games’ Dredge.

While the trailer showcased at The Game Awards helps us know that it’s happening, not much else was established outside of the horrifying aberrations that you will encounter, but as IGN reports, the collaboration between the two will come as a free update. Alongside the new creatures, it also allows you to move Dave’s boat around like in Dredge, a new weather type — fog — a new night map, a new weapon, and more.

If you haven’t already picked it up, it’s going to go on discount on December 15 as part of the “Dredging & Diving Bundle” on Steam. This makes it a perfect time to start considering yoinking it for yourself if you haven’t already. This “indie” has been called “charming” and “wholesome,” though, perhaps bringing Dredge into the situation might skew things a touch away from being all that “wholesome.” That said its gameplay loop will no doubt remain the same, making it a satisfying diving and restaurant sim nonetheless.
