No Rest for the Wicked recently announced its 1.0 version launch for Steam and PlayStation 5 in October 2026. Some fans were wondering if the dark game would make its way to more gaming platforms, like Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S. The creative director and CEO came out to speak publicly about the game’s condition for other unannounced platforms.
Thomas Mahler explained how the game requires more optimization to fit the smaller memory storage for both gaming platforms. He stated how No Rest for the Wicked is processing its entire in-game world constantly, which is very demanding, especially during online play. He confirmed that more time is needed to make the game ideal across the board for everyone.
Currently, No Rest For the Wicked isn’t cancelled for Xbox and Nintendo consoles, though more time is required to perfect the game’s processing. The game will appear at a later date, which will allow more players to connect for stellar adventures through cross-play integration.
