Devil May Cry 5 surpasses 8 million sold units

Capcom’s 2019 return to the numbered Devil May Cry line has now surpassed eight million units sold. This means it went passed 300,000 between January and March.

Capcom’s Platinum Titles page gives us some idea of its sales across the many IPs that the Japanese game studio has. It should come as no surprise that both Monster Hunter World and Rise are chart toppers while Resident Evil games basically dominate the rest of the chart.

Devil May Cry 5 found great reception from critics and fans alike, with the game even winning awards during various events, including the Best Action Game at 2019’s The Game Awards. As result of the ongoing sales of the entry, as a sourced from VGChartz, DMC has surpassed 31 million units sold. This is an impressive feat even nowadays.
