EA said GenAI in Battlefield 6 but there looks like there’s GenAI

Electronic Arts is under hot water amid fans finding AI use within its premium emblems, such as two barrels on a M4A1 and a bear with inconsistent claws. This comes by the way after EA was clear that it wouldn’t use generative AI.

Reddit user Willcario slammed EA for the use of gen AI, but the smoking gun was following this post another user combed through more emblems that they believe were made by artificial intelligence. At this point, we don’t need to tell you that GenAI is a controversial bit of tech, as much of the problems with it fall on the fact it never truly looks natural or polished.

To be fair, this is EA we’re talking about, which didn’t cross out AI as a whole, so this shouldn’t be too su7rprising, but it still can be disappointing to see. It’s possible the dev will quietly remove these emblems from Battlefield 6 or perhaps make some sort of statement around the whole ordeal, but that’s only speculation.
